  THE PERSIAN DEPARTMENT  
 

Persian is the millenium -old language of the Iranians through which they have expressed their love for other peoples and cultures, and offered their culture, civilization and literature. The Persian department of the Iran Language Institute which was established in 2001 aims to offer more effective courses to teach Persian to speakers of other languages.
Some of the Department's productions which have already been offered, and those which will be available by early 2005 are as follows:

  •  "A Crash course in Farsi" including a multimedia CD, learner's book, two cassette tapes, and an audio CD.

  •  "Elementary Reading Comprehension" including a multimedia CD, learner's book, one cassette tape, and an audio CD.

  •  "Intermediate Reading Comprehension" including a multimedia CD, learner's book, one cassette tape, and an audio CD.

  •  Picture Dictionary

  •  A three-volume collection of Vocabulary Development.

  •  A sixteen-volume collection of Elementary Persian Readings including audio CDs.

  • Persian Dictionary
  • The Most Frequent Words of Today Persian (Including over 8000 frequent words; based on a one-million-word Corpus)
