Borna - Social Group; The director of the Iran Language Institute:
Enhancing educational infrastructure and methods, along with fostering international cooperation through educational diplomacy, stands as the principal goal of the Iran Language Institute.
Mahdi Zolfaghari, director of the ILI, mentioned in an interview with Borna News Agency: “In educational diplomacy, we possess numerous capacities to enhance mutual understanding and foster a positive and realistic image of our country. Unfortunately, many of these potential opportunities have yet to be fully realized. If traditional and modern tools and methods in this area fail to align with the core principles and requirements of educational diplomacy, a meaningful connection will be lost. Thus, it is essential to recognize the context and structure within which our valuable assets and capabilities in language learning should be utilized.”
The director of the Iran Language Institute emphasized: “Our most important goal at the ILI is to pay simultaneous attention to methods, tools, and infrastructures so that these items are defined in direct and systematic communication with each other. We strongly believe that "language" is the most important and best tool and method in educational diplomacy, in a way that can reflect our assets and models to the world with an unmediated, explicit, and direct narrative. Here we are talking about our indigenous historical, civilizational, and cultural capacities. These valuable assets must be presented to the world in a solid and, at the same time, dynamic context. This context is educational diplomacy.”
He added in conclusion: “The scope of the effectiveness of educational diplomacy, and that too through the direct use of language tools, is vast and unlimited. We are talking about hypertext, a model and tool whose effectiveness has been proven for people of science, technology, and culture, and now is the time for our beloved country to put it into practice.”
