The head of the Iran Language Institute announced that the centenary celebration of this educational institution will be held in the near future at the national meeting of the general staff and provincial directors of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults.
According to the General Department of Public Relations and International Affairs of the institute, Mehdi Zolfaghari, the head of the ILI, announced this and said: people's trust and loyalty to this educational complex is a great social capital and a common heritage that must be preserved in the best possible way.
Pointing out that our learners pay fees, and we are duty-bound to provide the best service, he added: today, people's trust in the institute is a social capital that stems from the presence and efforts of competent and expert teachers over years of effective endeavor at the ILI.
He also highlighted some deficiencies and inadequacies in various departments and noted: updating educational texts, honoring clients, repairing and equipping centers, etc. are among the issues that we are trying to address with the assistance of pathology experts and authorities respectively.
In this meeting, Zolfaghari also presented a video report on the performance of the ILI in the past two years.
He pointed to a 7% increase in the population of language learners at this institute in the past one year and said: currently, more than 297,000 learners are learning foreign languages in more than 300 educational centers of the ILI across the country.
The head of the Iran Language Institute presented a report on the holding of educational webinars and added: in the past year, more than 50,000 people have registered to use these webinars, which is remarkable in its own way.
In this report, he also announced the reduction of the debts of this Institute and reminded: we have made attempts to improve the welfare of the ILI’s staff and teachers as much as possible.
Zolfaghari also expressed his gratitude to the CEO, the vice-presidents of development, culture, production and security of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults for their support and cooperation in achieving the goals of the ILI and stated: the joint work of the ILI with the institute’s cultural deputy on the issue of Gaza was very well received by the audience.
He also thanked the general managers of the institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults in the provinces for their synergy and cooperation with the officials of the language centers in the provinces and added: the structure of the ILI is educational, and this structure has its own requirements, but we aim to expect from the provincial centers proportionate to their capacities and development levels.
In the final part of this meeting, the general managers highlighted the issues, concerns and problems of their provinces in various fields, including the conditions of the rented buildings, the recruitment of the required human resources, the equipment and maintenance of buildings, the revitalization of educational centers, etc., and the head of the ILI answered their questions.
The meeting of the general directors of the institute across the country was held from 16th to 18th Mordad, 1403 (6-8 August 2024) at the Center of Cultural and Artistic Creations of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults in Tehran.
