With the start of registration for specialized German language course for children, Dr. Mahdi Zolfaghari, Director of the Iran Language Institute, explained the objectives of offering such courses.
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of the ILI, Dr. Zolfaghari announced the start of registration for specialized German language course for children starting in the summer of 2026, emphasizing the importance of standard and international education at an early age to strengthen the communication and cognitive skills of language learners.
He said, "We at the Iran Language Institute believe that language learning in childhood should be in line with the development of the child's personality and mental capabilities. Therefore, our main goal in this course is to simultaneously strengthen language skills and increase children's communication and social capacities so that they can communicate with confidence in different environments."
Referring to the structural changes in the educational needs of the new generation, Dr. Zolfaghari stated that the main goal of the ILI in developing this course goes beyond the mere transmission of grammatical rules and vocabulary.
He continued, "We know very well that the driving force of learning in children is ‘motivation’ and ‘curiosity.’ Children cannot maintain their enthusiasm for learning in strict and traditional environments. For this reason, this course has been developed with the aim of creating a happy, dynamic and completely motivating atmosphere by utilizing the most advanced educational methods. We use educational games, storytelling, group activities and multimedia tools to make language learning an enjoyable experience for children and part of their world of games."
Addressing the parents’ concerns toward the content, he referred to the quality and scientific credibility of the course and said, “One of the main concerns of parents is the standardization of the content. We ensure that all educational content of this course is developed based on the most accurate international standards for teaching German to children.”
Dr. Zolfaghari also referred to the flexibility in the way the classes are held and said, “To enable our audience to benefit from this educational opportunity regardless of geographical limitations, we have designed a flexible structure, considering the capacities and conditions of holding classes in the form of in-person and online, to provide access to all families across the country.”
